Dixie Narco Model 400 Cooling Unit — Complete Refrigeration Deck
Complete slide-in refrigeration deck for Dixie Narco stack-style soda machines that load 12 oz cans two deep, end to end. Includes the compressor, condenser, fans, and evaporator as one sealed unit.
The Model 400 has a self-cleaning condenser and a longer base plate than the Model 300.
Fits / used on:
- Dixie Narco two-deep stack machines that use the Model 400 deck
- Common fit: 180, 240, 260, 276 (not E), 300, 320, 340, 348, 360, 368, 414, 432, 440
- Evaporator is about 22 inches long
- Does not fit three-deep or E-series machines (276E, 501E, 501T, and similar). Those use an 800 or 1203 deck.
What it is: A rebuilt cooling deck, charged, with R-134a refrigerant, sealed, and ready to install with basic hand tools. Domestic units are typically 115V.
Common reason to replace: Warm product, compressor clicks or will not stay running, partially iced evaporator after fan and airflow checks, leak or low charge, or a failed compressor.
Install notes:
- Disconnect power first.
- Unplug the deck and slide it out from the base of the cabinet.
- Reconnect power and confirm the fan and compressor run. Keep the copper lines clear of fan blade
- Return the core in the original packaging. A damaged or incomplete core can forfeit the deposit.
Direct replacement for a two-deep Dixie Narco that already has a Model 400 deck. Compare the old tag and base plate before you buy.
