Conlux CV1012 Bill Validator — MDB Upstacker
Conlux CV1012 bill validator from the CV1000 series. MDB note acceptor for commercial vending. Bottler / VFM-style bezel with setback. 4-way acceptance of U.S. bills and an upstack cash box.
What it does: Reads and stacks paper money, then sends credit to the vender over MDB. Optical validation with dual pellet sensing. One-note escrow. Program denominations with the blue button on the back or a configuration coupon — no handheld required for basic setup.

Fits / used on: MDB drink and snack machines with a standard bill-validator opening and bottler-style mask (Dixie Narco, Vendo, Royal, Crane, and similar). Pair with an MDB coin changer such as a Conlux MCM5 or CPI Gryphon. CV1022 is the compact / full-line mask version — do not assume the bezels swap without checking setback.
Common reason to replace: Bills rejected or pulled back; stacker jam; no credit; status LED flashing “disabled” or “MDB comms”; worn belts or sensors; updating an older $1-only unit to $1–$20.
Install notes:
- Confirm the machine is MDB and supplies validator voltage. This is not a 110V validator.
- Mount on the OEM studs, plug the MDB harness (Y-cable if a coin mech is on the same bus).
- Status LED on = enabled and ready. Use the flash chart for jams, full stacker, or disabled-by-VMC.
- To set bills: press the blue button, feed each denomination you want accepted, then exit.
- Keep the note path clean. A full stacker or empty coin tubes will disable acceptance.
