JCM Optipay CC A-66 Coin Changer
The JCM Optipay CC A-66 (also called A-66 Centaur) is a 4-tube MDB coin changer built for JCM by NRI/Crane. It sits in the same Optipay family as JCM bill validators and the RC-10 recycler. Sensor package is the G-40.4000 / G-46.4 lineage.
What it does
- Accepts up to 20 coin types across 16 channels (up to 3 tokens)
- Pays out 4 coin types from a removable tube cassette
- Typical U.S. cassette: nickel / dime / quarter / quarter (other layouts exist)
- Coin size range: 15–33 mm diameter, 1.2–3.5 mm thick
- Acceptance about 2 coins per second
- DIP switches on the validator head to inhibit denominations
- Front keys to empty individual tubes (L / ML / MR / R) and set fill/float
- Tube-level sensors (empty, 50%, 75%, full)
- Splash-proof electronics and monitored coin path
- Teach tokens and currency updates with JCM tools (WinEMP, PalmA66, PalmEMP)
- Can run MDB Level 3 with an Optipay RC-10 bill recycler when switch 10 is set
