Crane BevMax 4 5800-4 Refrigeration Unit — Complete Cooling Deck

Complete sealed refrigeration deck for Crane / Dixie-Narco BevMax 4 model 5800-4 glass-front drink machines. This is the slide-in cooling assembly in the bottom of the cabinet: compressor, condenser, condenser fan, evaporator, evaporator fan, and condensate pan. Comes with a 2 year warranty

Fits / used on:

  • Crane / Dixie-Narco BevMax 4 5800-4 (domestic, 115V / 60 Hz)
  • Also used on related BevMax 4 3800-4 cabinets with the same deck
  • Common kit / unit part: 65701270 (plastic evap box, serial 9539-0032DJ and higher)
  • Earlier metal-evap decks used the same replacement kit number after 65704000
  • Domestic compressor style: Embraco FFI12HBX (1/3+ HP, 115V)
  • Typical charge: R-134a, about 9.5 oz

What it is: A hermetic, single-piece refrigeration module. Designed to come out from the front or rear as a complete assembly. Cabinet temperature is controlled by the electronic sensor on the evaporator, not by a mechanical box thermostat on the deck.

Common reason to replace: Warm product with compressor not running or short-cycling; ice locked on the evaporator after temp sensor / defrost / air-leak checks; compressor click/hum with no cooling; leak or low charge; failed compressor.

Install notes:

  • Disconnect power first.
  • Remove the two bottom shelves and refrigeration cover.
  • Unplug compressor power, evaporator fan, temp sensor, and defrost control before sliding the deck out.
  • Loosen the refrigeration deck clamp (7/16") so the gasket seats to the vertical bulkhead.
  • Keep 4" / about 3.25" clearance at the rear screen for condenser air.
  • After install, confirm evaporator fan and compressor both run, then allow pull-down with the door closed.
  • R290 decks must be replaced as a sealed unit — do not tap, braze, or recharge in the field.

Condition:  Certified rebuilt with a brand new compressor. Sold as a complete refrigeration unit, not a loose compressor. Confirm R-134a vs R290 before ordering.
