Conlux CCM5G Coin Changer
The Conlux CCM5G is a 5-tube MDB multi-price coin changer. Conlux (later under MEI) built it as a high-capacity alternative to 3-tube mechs. The cassette snaps in and the changer reads the tube layout automatically — no keypad programming.
What it does
- Accepts U.S. nickels, dimes, quarters, and $1 coins
- Switch-selectable U.S. only, Canadian only, or both (Canadian $1 and $2 as well)
- Five-tube removable cassette with auto recognition
- Simultaneous payout of up to three coins (with a Level 3 controller)
- Smart payout retries if a coin hangs
- Dollar-coin payout on US-4 cassettes
- Anti-salting drain path
- LED diagnostics
- Memory backup through a power loss
- Float / automatic change-level function
- Optional satellite tubes (ST-5 nickels or ST-25 quarters)

US-1 (three quarter tubes) is the most common drink-machine setup. Fill all five tubes, or at least the primary tubes, or the extra capacity is wasted.
How it compares
- Coinco 9302-GX / MEI TRC-6512: 3-tube MDB, simpler, less change on hand
- MEI CF7512: also 5-tube MDB, but uses an LCD and must be programmed for cassette changes
- CCM5G: 5 tubes, cassette self-IDs, no programming when you swap cassettes
- MCM5 is the later Conlux successor with larger tubes and extra float options
